Pete Messick, Principal Broker/Owner
Born just up the road in Salisbury, MD, Pete traces his family ancestry to Eastville, VA. Growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs of rural Bucks County culminated in a move to California in 1979 to pursue graduate school. Though not raised on the Eastern Shore, his roots beckoned, when he moved to Cape Charles in 2007, retiring after 20+ years in cultural resource management as a professional archaeologist.
Mr. Messick is a past Director and served on the Govvernmental Affairs Committee of the Eastern Shore Association of Realtors, He obtained his real estate license in February 2008 and Principal Brokers license in 2013.
Post-licensing education includes commercial real estate investment analysis with the CCIM Institute, NAR Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource Certification and the Northampton County Planning Academy. Along with 7 years experience in the financial services industry, Peninsula Properties of Virginia offers excellent, quality service to meet the real estate needs of buyers and property owners.

Schuyler V V Hurlbut, Licensed Agent
A licensed REALTOR for 20 years, “Sky” joined Peninsula Properties of VA in October 2022. Over the course of her career, she has had numerous years achieving annual multi-million dollar sales. Comfortable working with both Buyers and Sellers, nothing will stop her from holding an open house.
An animal lover with passion, she ran Over the Moon animal rescue spaying & neutering over 2000 cats and dogs here on the shore. She is a professional musician accomplished in several instruments, particularly bass guitar.

Jennifer Siegrist, Licensed Agent, PMC
Jen grew up in Hawaii and enjoys the outdoors and living near the beach. She earned her BS in Environmental Science from UC Davis with subsequent graduate studies in Urban & Regional Planning at Virginia Tech where she met her husband. She and her husband discovered the eastern shore in 2007 after the birth of their first daughter and moved to Northampton County after the birth of their second daughter in 2009. Jen enjoys supporting the girls in their school and extracurricular activities and loves the resources here, especially the New Roots Youth Garden and Arts Enter programs in Cape Charles, the local MOMS group, and North Street Theater in Onancock.
Licensed since 2015, Jen wears several hats here at PP of VA actively engaged in property management and residential sales as well as maintaining the company’s financial records. In June 2023 Jen earned her Property Management Certification awarded by the Virginia Assciation of Realtors. She enjoys helping people find the right vacation home to experience the beauty of the shore. She also enjoys helping friends find and buy the right home here.

Jason King Restein, Licensed Agent, Valuation Specialist
Born and raised in Cape Charles, Jason graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Fishery Science. Prior to obtaining his real estate license in 2014, Jason was a licensed real estate appraiser, whose firm performed residential and land appraisals and evaluations.
When he is not busy working at PP of VA, Jason helps out with his family’s successful wholesale seafood business in farm raised clams & oysters, in addition to parenting his 14 year old daughter, Juliet.
